BIO
A Nashville-based songwriter and songleader, Ellie Flier creates soulful, heartfelt Jewish music that bridges ancient tradition and a modern perspective. Her songs transform prayer into poetry and melody, inviting listeners to find light, connection, and meaning through music. Her blend of deep spirituality, lyrical storytelling, and infectious melodies reflects a journey shaped by Jewish day school, classical voice training, and years as a Nashville songwriter.
Originally from Los Angeles, Ellie has called Nashville home for more than a decade. In 2016, she co-founded Jewsic City, a popular unplugged Shabbat experience for young professionals that has become a beloved part of the city’s Jewish community.
Ellie’s new album, Out of Darkness, offers a collection of original songs that remind us the light always returns. Mixing personal prayers and re-imagined liturgy, the album moves from intimate reflection to communal hope and faith—music for congregations, camps, and anyone seeking hope and renewal.
An artist featured on Jewish Rock Radio and twice published in Ruach: The Best of Contemporary Jewish Rock and Pop, Ellie has led services and performed her original music at Jewish conferences and communities across the United States, Israel, and Europe.
